info
Splitzville Farm is located in the midst of some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world! The Rideau Canal, the 1000 Islands, Charleston Lake Provincial Park, The Frontanac Arch, or the Bio-sphere. Whatever it was that brought you here, we want to make it easy for you to explore more of the area.
As the opening approaches we will post a whole variety of activities, as well as a complete local calender of events .
Using our canoes, a picnic lunch, and our weatherproof GPS unit, you'll paddle down the Morton Creek to Lyndhurst, portage the dam and head into the chain of lakes that lead back to the farm. For the experienced paddler we can help you paddle all the way to the St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands.
Touring on your own
Lots of people come by this way by bicycle, there is a great bike path that runs from Gananoque to Brockville, right along the shore of the river, and we are harassing our local government to widen our road for a bike path. The Rideau canal winds its way from Kingston to Ottawa, sprinkled along it are the old locks, Brewers Mills and the Jones Falls locks are only a short distance away from the farm. So come down and breath our fresh air, you'll live longer for it.
Don't have a bike? No problem we have one for you! We have a few mountain bikes here for guests, and we also have two electric bikes for those of us that just aren't into keeping up with the pelaton.
Seasonal Activities
The farm offer something for everyone, all year round, we have purchased a variety of sports equipment for your enjoyment, these include: mountain bikes, cross country skis, snow shoes, canoes, kayaks, and a small sail boat.
These items are available for use free of charge, our way of helping you open the door to the great outdoors!
